.::FDC Day 2
by
Matthew
on Tue 28 Jun 2005 04:46 PM PDT
DAY 2 UPDATE & PHOTOS
Yesterday we were focused on Hebrews 12:2-3
Let us fix our eyes on
Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him
endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the
throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that
you will not grow weary and lose heart.
We each have a purpose for life,
but the best possible way of living and experiencing this life is found only by
keeping our eyes on Jesus. He is the
author and this is the one that can help us live a perfected life. Today we focused on Jesus. Who is he?
What did he do? What is Jesus all
about? Let us dive deep into the life of
Jesus so that we can have a clear picture of who Jesus is. We put Jesus under a magnifying glass today
in all of our small groups, in our quiet time, in our worship, in everything we
do today. We asked how can we have Jesus
be part of EVERYTHING we do?

DAY 1
 Well
Camp started off wonderfully. After our opening session that laid
out the week for us, we divided up into family groups that came up with their own team names.
Last night we looked at Hebrews 12:1-3 where it talks about the fact
that we are SURROUNDED by such a great cloud of witnesses. We
were reminded that we are not ALONE in this thing called faith.
God himself is not alone and we are not alone. We traced how God
has ALWAYS been with us and that we are NEVER left alone by God.
We are also surrounded by friends, family, churches, youth groups,
neighbors who SURROUND us in our faith walk and that we can lean on,
depend on, care for, be helped by, be guided by in our walk with Jesus.
Hey, why don't you follow along with camp at home. You can do the daily devotionals at home. CLICK HERE for the Daily Devotionals and keep up with us. Pray for us.

::Make your Voice HEARD around the WORLD!!!
by
Matthew
on Sat 18 Jun 2005 05:27 PM PDT
Every single day, 30,000 children die, needlessly, of extreme poverty.
On July 6th, we finally have the opportunity to stop that shameful statistic.
8 world leaders, gathered in Scotland for the G8 summit, will be
presented with a workable plan to double aid, drop the debt and make
the trade laws fair. If these 8 men agree, then we will become the
generation that made poverty history.
But they'll only do it if enough people tell them to.
You can also watch the coverage of the concerts on July 2nd where
artists will be performing in five different cities to get the world
out around the world.
HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP:
CLICK HERE to sign the Live 8 List and ADD YOUR NAME. Your voice counts. Your name matters. Your signature will help.
