BACK TO SCHOOL::NEW BEGINNINGSToday was the last day for people to start back to school,. The great thing Back to School is that it offers EVERYONE a chance for New Beginnings. You backpack is probably full of fresh composition books, new peachee folders and pens just aching to be used. The greatest thing about the first day of school is that you still have straight As. The potential is endless. This year can be the year that you turn things around, try new things, new possibilities, new clubs, teams, teachers, friends, decisions and choices.
Choose to do some great things. Its a clean slate. A Fresh Start. Take advantage of that and aim high for your year.
Do something great with your year. Be a person that makes a difference in your class, on your team, at your job afterschool. Be a person that is DIFFERENT (Holy) in your attitude, behavior and sppech. Let everything you do and everything you are a part of GLORIFY GOD. Be that kind of person that people want to be around. Be the kind of person living a life of faith that makes God smile.
Its a new year, make a difference. Volunteer, save and give to the needy, help those around you, serve others, be a GIVER.
Its a new year, make it better than the last year. If you haven't had a strong Quet Time, do it today and start NOW. Make the commitment to go to The Edge on Sunday Nights or Cross Trianing on Wednesday Nights and get CONNECTED with others in Student Ministry.
Decide to stop making some of the same mistakes. Maybe drop some friends that are dragging you down and find some people that will help you strive to be your best, that will encourage you to do good things..
Colossians 3:16-17
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
So that homework assignment, that project, that band practice, that football drill, EVERYTHING you do, do it in the name of the Lord. Do it FOR God. Do your BEST.
