View Article  WHY GO (RED) WHEN YOU CAN GO (BROWN)?
What is ?
So today Oprah and Bono announced Project (RED).  This is a collection of companies that are cooperating to help fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Africa.  Many of the proceeds from the sales of specially designed products will go to The Global Fund. I really like the idea of channeling funds that would normally be used for profit and diverting those resources towards real needs in the world.

WHY NOT GO ?
I like what Bono and Oprah have done to raise the world's awareness to the needs in Africa.  I also like that they are doing the same thing we are trying to do with The Zone Gear for 2006.  You can make a difference by buying a Zone T-Shirt or Sweatshirt.  Not to mention that MORE of our profits will go straight to Made-In-The-Streets than will with Project (RED).  Over $15 of every T-Shirt and over $20 of every Sweatshirt will go straight to Made-In-The-Streets.  MITS is all about training and equipping teens who are living on the streets with job skills and the gospel and helping them lead positive and productive lives.  THIS IS ONE WAY YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!  You may think it is only a t-shirt, but it is more than that.  It is chance for a teen.  Why give Abercrombie or Old Navy your money when you can make a difference with your dollars in Nairobi!

THIS IS WHAT
CAN DO FOR OTHERS.

View Article  CRUNCH!
I was riding my bike one Monday, like I do most days.  I was going down Campbell avenue when a white SUV pulled in front of me without looking and didn't give me time to stop.  Before I knew it, I was on the ground looking up.  One moment I  remember seeing a big white hood and yelling something to the guy who was driving, and the next moment I am lying in the street wondering what happened.

I did split my chin open and had to get six stiches to piece it back together.  Fortunately, I am doing fine lees a few bumps and bruises.  I am really, really sore.  My shoulder where I must have landed is really, really, really sore.  They tell me that I left a big crack in his windshield which tells me something about how powerful the impact was.  While I wasn't wearing a helmet, I fortunately didn't have any other damage to my head.  I am wearing a helmet now.

I am tremendously thankful for all of those who have called and asked if I am doing alright.  Thank you for your concern.  The more I keep active, the faster I think I will heal.  I am doing fine as long as I keep moving.  When I stop and veg out for a while, it is realy hard to get moving again.
