SAN FRANCISCO RESCUE MISSION THIS SATURDAY:  Saturday, December 16th 8:00-3:00 Cost=Bring $ for lunch • Grades 9-12  Come help us prepare, serve and deliver hundreds of meals to the needy in San Francisco.  This is a great way for you to make a difference in the local community as well as see how God is working in the inner city of San Francisco.  Dress for wet weather!  SIGN UP & TURN IN A PERMISSION SLIP BY WEDNESDAY IF YOU ARE GOING

HOME:  We still need about six more $25 gift cards to help provide Christmas for the 5 girls and 2 guys ages 16-18 who don't have any parents as a part of Christmas Cheer. “EVERY YOUNG WOMAN’S BATTLE” COMING: A special 8-week small group for high school girls grades 9-12 will be held on Sunday evenings coming in January (Jan. 14-Mar. 4) from 5:15-6:30PM in the Church Library.  The basis for the study is the book, "Every Young Woman's Battle:  Guarding Your Mind, Heart, and Body in a Sex-Saturated World."  This is a great time to deal with the different pressures that you are faced with in today's culture.  It is also a safe place to talk about difficult issues and build some great friendships.  Set aside these eight Sunday Nights and be a part of this great group.  Contact Annette Walls or Walter if you have questions.

Who loves Christmas Music?  I DO!  I thought I would fill the Zone iPod with a bunch of Christmas music to help you enjoy and celebrate the holiday.

You know there are a few places in the country that are making a big stink about changing their slogans from "Merry Christmas" to "Happy Holidays."  Just a quick soap box.  I personally don't like to see or hear "Happy Holidays."  I like "Merry Christmas." 

I make a point to tell cashiers and sales people, "Merry Christmas!"  Not to be annoying, but it is truly what is in my heart.  I want them to celebrate the TRUE meaning of Christmas.  I hope they can really understand who Jesus and what God did coming to earth as Jesus for them.  That God desires to shower us with His grace and love and mercy through the baby Jesus.  So hopefully, through all the merchandising, all the commercialism, God can still speak a powerful message that starts with a small baby in a dirty manger.  May God send peace on earth and spread good will to and through humantiy this Christmas.

DINNER AND A MOVIE NIGHT THIS SUNDAY:  High Schoolers (Grades 9-12) come to the home of Bethany Ink this Sunday, December 10th for Dinner & A Movie from 5:00-8:00PM.  We will hang out together and have dinner.  We will then finish our study of Revelation by watching a movie that takes us through the themes of Revelation in a creative way.  Don't miss out on this time together!!!!
