I guess you’ve noticed by now I’m not much of a blogger, but I’m learning!
It’s hard to be “on top of my game” all the time. Life can get busy and hard at times, but God is good – he always has been and always will be. I was reading this weekend and was reminded of this verse in 1 Corinthians 9:24 (The Message):
You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.
Although I want to encourage you to ‘Run to win’ in everything you attempt: music, sports, speech, dance, academics, relationships, etc; don’t lose site of the ultimate goal – the one that will not fade, tarnish or disappear in our fading memories. God designed us and wants deeply to connect with us. Seeking this connection is the ‘gold medal that never fades…’
