I've been thinking about death this week - No, not the sadness that comes from loss and separation, but legacy. Legacy is what people remember about us when we are gone, BUT we write our legacy hear, now, while we're still kicking - not when we're in heaven.
If the story is true, the legacy left by George Washington cutting down the cherry tree was made when he was very young - perhaps only 6 years old. Martin Luther was a bit older, but still a young man when he nailed the "95 Theses" to the door of the Catholic Church. Mother Teresa was 18 when she left home to become a missionary that began the life serving the poor. We write our legacy our whole life.
So, what will be MY legacy? What will be YOUR legacy? What are you doing TODAY to write your legacy?
