This morning we have an experiment with pizza prayer breakfast.  We had cold pizza, hot pizza and an experimental Breakfast Pizza that was GREAT!!!  It is such an encouragement to have all you great people show up for this time after time after time.  Thanks for your shiny happy faces sp early in the morning!

Well another year, another GREAT CRAZY HAIR EDGE!!!!

We had a blast Ice Fishing, and divinig our faces into pudding.  I can't believe that another year of The Edge is already done!  Bummer!  But I thank God that we did have such a great year together.  I hope you guys have a great summer.

Well we are back from house hunting in Nashville and waiting to hear if we have a place to move to.  The one thing we do know is where will be living.  We are trying to find a place in Franklin, TN and have the girls eventually attend Franklin High School.  This is big, but we are excited about what God has in store for us.  Thank you for your prayers!!!!

In the meantime, we are really focusing on being here and getting to build as many memories with you as possible!  So I want to personally invite YOU to drop by our home, step in to my office after school, call me and let's get a Starbucks (my treat), whatever, let's get some time together!

Come for a time of serious, hard-core worship.  This is also a great time for you to build some great friendships with your friends and with God.  This month’s theme is "WORSHIP"  This is going to be a time where you will be challenged to reflect on Worship.  This is planned and prepared by youth Vantage Point Leadership Team so it is going to be GREAT!. . .  MIDDLE SCHOOLERS WE NEED YOU AT SANCTUARY!  Come and be a part of what is going on! 

 

Get your hair as crazy as possible and join in the last The Edge of the year.  We will have pizza and say goodbye to our eighth graders as this is their last Edge as a junior higher.  Eighth Graders COME!!! Even if you haven’t been for a while, we want you to come so we can honor you! 

 

Baptism Edge was a BLAST!!!!  WE took some time to learn about the commitment of baptism and what it takes to give your life to Jesus and then we had a chance to practice being baptized and giving baptisms.  What a GREAT evening this was!  So much energy and excitement about something so important!

Today I put my daughters on an airplane without a parent to accompany them.  That was one of the most difficult things I have had to do.  I don't think I have been so worried, so apprehensive, so freaked out wondering "What if?"

I prayed and prayed and prayed like none other.  I knew their grandma would be waiting on the other side of the trip so there would be a familiar face to meet them.  I knew it was a non-stop so I didn't have to worry about any connections (thankfully).  But I worried.

I know that Jesus says, "Let not your heart be troubled."  But these are MY GIRLS!  I guess it is a inkling of nurturing God wove in to me despite all the testosterone.  But thanks be to God that they did in fact make it to Grammy's house and I don't have to think about this again until Sunday when they get back on the plane to come home.

Oh yeah, And that thing Jesus said is true. . . the worrying didn't help.  My girls are perceptive enough to sense it themselves.  The moment I stopped worrying was the moment they really began to get excited about the adventure of traveling without mom and dad.  Why can't I full listen to what Jesus has to say?  Even when it is that black and white as "Don't Worry!"
